Meet the D8XX Family: Inspiration becomes reality

Is it the demand for business communications that is changing? Or is it now the way we communicate? At Snom, this is precisely what we must take into account when considering the next step to take when developing future technologies.

So what is required of today’s business desk phone? The Snom D8xx series is our resounding answer to this question: Instead of relying on our many years of experience, we decided to take a truly fresh look at the desk phone’s functionalities and to be inspired by the innovative ideas of our customers and users. The result is a radical change in hardware, software and design.

In line with this philosophy, we have defined two product tracks within the D8xx series: the D86x and the D89x. These product lines are united by a design that visibly differs from all previous Snom products. The anti-bacterial coated body is slim and elegant, yet optimised for frequent, comfortable use. The displays are comfortable and practical to use thanks to their large size and tilt angle, which is adjustable by up to 40°. The graphic interface and intuitive functions that unite all D8xx terminals also increase user comfort and efficiency. For easy use in any surroundings, all devices in the series feature superior noise reduction and HD/Super Wide Band Audio. Today’s communications devices are increasingly defined by their adaptability to meet user preferences and environments, so our priority was to develop the broadest possible modular platform. The idea? Create a desktop device that can operate as the hub of a 2.0 office space.

User preference flexibility ensures that the Snom D8xx series offers the right end device for every need. Whether camera, video, handset cable, control functions, Android or Linux is required - everything can be, (but nothing has to be) available on this new generation of IP phones – it is the customer who decides what is needed.
